This weekend I went camping on the Rim with Cassie, Tina, Nick, Brittany, and.........I forgot his name, I'm a dick I know, lol. Anyway, we tried to go to another lake but it was so busy we gave up and decided to try Bear Canyon, Tina and Nick followed Cassie and I while we drove around and looked for a good spot, it started to rain which was nice at first but once we found a spot it made it a little more difficult, we talked about waiting until the rain passed but then decided to just say screw it and setup real quick, the rain was not coming down that hard. Cass and I had my tent up pretty quick, about to minutes later the rain stopped, go figure.
Tina and Nick took off for a little bit to let Brittany and her BF know where camp was setup, while they were gone Cass and I took a walk down to the lake to see how far we were, while we were down there I took the time to spread the rest of Jade's ashes. Because of the rain the lake was pretty much empty and was a good time to do it since we were alone. I kept the bag that her ashes were stored in.
The camp site was nice, little more traffic than we would have cared for but in general it was great, there were plenty of spots that I want to check out in future to camp closer to the lake and maybe a bit further from people. Tina and Nick rented a paddle board and a kayak and took it out on the lake Saturday morning, I did some fishing while they were out, it rained again for a little bit which felt nice and cool, after we had lunch we all got into the Tahoe and checked out the Rim since none of them had been before, Sunday after we packed up camp we too the Rim road 300 all the way across to the 87 to get home, definitely glad I had the lift and 4x4. Found some new areas I want to check out for future camping and some trails I want to explore someday.
